At the ECOS Institute, our top priority is the physical and emotional safety of every student. We take the time to build strong relationships between students and staff.
EXPERT STAFF
ECOS Institute staff members are carefully interviewed, referenced and fingerprinted. They are certified in first aid and CPR, and they receive ongoing training and evaluation.
REGISTERED NURSE ON SITE
A registered nurse is in charge of all health-related issues, including administering medications. Minor illnesses or injuries will be treated on site. If your child has something more serious, such as a fever, you will be contacted and may be asked to pick up your child. Emergency treatment is available through 911 (5-10 minutes) and local hospital.
LETS EAT!
Students, teachers and staff enjoy their meals together. Meals are prepared on site by food service professionals, and they meet USDA guidelines for the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program. Special Diets are available upon request.
CABIN LIFE
Cabin groups of 12 to 15 students are housed in fully winterized buildings with clean, private restrooms and showers. Each cabin group has an instructor who engages the students through science lessons, games, songs, hikes, and other fun activities during the day. At night, the same instructors are in the cabins, providing a safe and supportive environment in which the students can get the rest that they need. Students within a cabin group share exciting and memorable experiences throughout their stay, developing positive, lasting bonds with their cabin-mates and instructor.
